Education

Melissa litigates complex civil cases at both the state and federal level. She has experience in a variety of matters, including employment, breach of contract, copyright and trademark infringement, shareholder derivative claims, and internal investigations. She represents clients from a wide range of industries, including technology, arts & entertainment, real estate, and media. Prior to joining Reicker Pfau, Melissa worked for a boutique litigation firm in Los Angeles. She also gained transactional experience with a multinational law firm.

Melissa received her juris doctor from UCLA School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Stanford University. While at Stanford, she competed on the triathlon and ski racing teams. Prior to law school, she earned a master’s degree from UC Santa Barbara, where she taught undergraduate writing courses and worked as a technical writer. Earlier in her career, she worked in music and technology in various capacities. She enjoys songwriting and performing music in her spare time.
