Tim Trager's practice concentrates on
resolving and litigating business and personal disputes in a
wide variety of commercial areas such as real estate, easements,
leases, partnership disputes, business formation and
construction, as well as appellate work stemming from these and
other practice areas. He brings over twenty-seven years of legal
experience in these areas to the client's of the firm.
Prior to the merger of his law practice with
Reicker, Pfau, Pyle & McRoy in January 2011, Tim was an
associate and managing partner at Hill & Trager, LLP (and its
predecessors) from 1991 thru 2010. Prior to that, he was
associated with the firm of Howard, Lewis & Peterson (1985-1989)
in Utah and Cappello & Foley (1989-1991) in Santa Barbara.
Tim was admitted to practice law in Utah in
1985, Illinois in 1986 and California in 1989 and is admitted to
practice in all California State and Federal Courts, the Ninth
Circuit Court of Appeals and the Court of Federal Claims. Tim
obtained his law degree from Southern Illinois University School
of Law in 1985 where he was a Notes & Comments Editor for the
law journal and a recipient of an American Jurisprudence Award
in Administrative Law. He was a Dean's List student at the
University of Colorado from which he received his Bachelor of
Arts in 1982.
Tim is a member of the Santa Barbara County
Bar Association, a past member of the William L. Gordon Inns of
Court and the past Chairman of the Santa Barbara County Bar
Association's Civil Litigation section.
