Alan A. Lanis, Jr. ("JR") focuses his practice on business law with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, securities, and real estate transactions. He also has experience with corporate governance, finance, restructuring, and tax matters.  JR represents a wide variety of clients, including technology, energy, medical, and real estate-focused entities.

Prior to joining Reicker, Pfau, Pyle & McRoy, JR practiced law with Haynes and Boone in Houston, Texas. He is admitted to practice in California, Texas, and Nevada. JR obtained his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas School of Law and Bachelor of Arts from Brown University.

 JR was a co-contributor to a chapter on Clean Technology Financing in the legal treatise Energy Law and Transactions. He is an active member of the Santa Barbara County Bar Association and Santa Barbara Barristers.
