Jim Griffith, admitted to the California Bar in 1983, focuses his law practice on business litigation matters, particularly in connection with probate, real estate and contract disputes. Since joining Reicker, Pfau, Pyle & McRoy in 2007, Jim has represented a wide range of businesses and individuals in matters filed in both State and Federal Court. 

Jim received his B.A. in Political Science and Economics with High Honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1980, and received his J.D. from King Hall School of Law at the University of California at Davis in 1983.

Proficient in spoken and written Japanese, he has worked as a legal consultant and translator for the Japanese Federation of Bar Associations and various Japanese companies, law firms and research institutions for many years, and taught U.S. business and constitutional law at Kyoto Sangyo University from 1987 to 1991.

Jim is an active member of the Santa Barbara legal community, serves as Assistant Editor of the Santa Barbara Lawyer magazine, and is a member of the Barristers Club.
